As we learned earlier this year, Photography, literally means "drawing with light." Photographers are always using light to create their shots. Sometimes the photograph is more about light then it is about the subject. This is something that the average person with a camera rarely does. Dramatic lighting not only creates a rare beauty in photos it also helps set a mood or provoke an emotion. It does this in both color and black & white cases.
In class the students were challenged to take ONE lighting shot
It will be black and white
Their partner (or a person) will be their subject
They are to capture DRAMATIC lighting
It should catch a mood
