A merger is an object that appears to be joined with the subject. Often when taking photos we are so focused on our subject we forget to notice what is going on in the background. A simple rule of photography is to AVOID MERGERS. If you notice a merger happening, either move your subject, or move yourself.Have you ever had a pole growing out of your head? Ouch! That must hurt!
